Brno City Hall

The theme of this undergraduate work is the proposal of the City Hall of the Brno city. The working area is located in Brno-Center. Land is slightly sloping, with an elevation of two meters, grassy, easily accessible from Beneshova street. The Town Hall building will be used by residents of all age and social groups from Brno and its surroundings, working-age citizens, seniors, students and young people. Design respected according to the context of the site, urban and topographic structure of the site. The building of the town hall was designed with regard to the barrier-free movement of disabled persons and persons with reduced mobility. The Town Hall is a detached building on a square ground plan with six above-ground floors and two underground floors. Inside the building is an atrium, with terraced windows and not covered. The basic mass of the building is divided by one main entrance and four sub-entrances. The mass solution - the town hall is based on simplicity, compactness and rhythm. The building is based on a rectangle. The Town Hall is designed to be clear in its function and beauty. The building has an atrium in the middle, serving as place of the rest for the worker and the visitor.
